#FunFriday | Halloween Festivities During COVID

It's my favorite time of the year and due to Covid I just want to make sure you guys knew Halloween is still on!! :) Here are some of my traditions along with other ways to enjoy this season while keeping safe and practicing social distancing.

Kid and Adult Friendly

  1. First things first go costume shopping (Halloween Land outside of Ford city and Spirit in Burbank has really great costumes for a reasonable price.

  2. Have a Halloween party for the kids (w/ close family and friends) - Activities: Pumpkin carving, make lanterns out of the pumpkins and place them on your house/apt porch, bake pumpkin seeds with remains, decorate face masks, arts and crafts, as well as glow in the dark egg hunt: Mask tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VICF-JqoUiI OR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToeC3TToUEo Buy Halloween-themed eggs at Amazon AND glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark eggs at Amazon for a nighttime search.

  3. Boo at the Zoo (Book tickets in advance due to Covid)

  4. Drive by Haunted House (If you and your neighbors are feeling festive enough you could all decorate your houses on the block and have people outside for a selected time to scare drive byers. This beats trick or treating and 'doorbell rings')

  5. Pumpkin Patch (Bengston's is preferred as they have all-day passes, free rides and a variety of activities for the kids https://pumpkinfarm.com/)

  6. Jacks Pop-Up (Open, but book tickets in advance due to Covid) (Mostly adult friendly)

  7. Zoom Costume Party and Pumpkin-Carving Contests w/Collegues or Friends (add alcohol ;), Halloween Bingo (https://www.aliceandlois.com/printable-halloween-bingo/)

  8. Costume Bicycle Parades (for the Community; dress in costumes, pick neighborhood(s), add distance limit/path and lights to bike for appearance)

  9. Reverse Trick-or-Treat in Neighborhoods (drive by) or Set up a Trick-or-Treat Driveway Table https://www.fun365.orientaltrading.com/article/halloween-trick-or-treat-station-ideas

  10. Organize a Scavenger Hunt in Your House https://www.playpartyplan.com/free-printable-halloween-scavenger-hunt

  11. Head to a Drive-In Theater for Halloween Movies https://www.driveinmovie.com/mainmenu.htm
